I Ate A project by Mark Forscher
This photo mosaic, containing 660 unique images, documents everything I ate between Thursday September 9th, 2004 and Friday February 25th, 2005.* The project was conceived of as a way to confront consumer culture through a process of daily self-reflection, and to expose a deeply rooted pattern of consumption.
* During the course of the project I missed photographing 5 meals.

660 unique photos form a 22 x 30 mosaic
This mosaic is at a reduced resolution from the real version, which is 30″x40″.

Very cool. I’d love to see the individual photos of the meals. Any plans to display them?
I share your fascination with this concept. One “art project” I’ve wanted to do for some time involves, photographing my meals and photographing my excrement over the course of a month, then displaying the photos in pairs, sort of like before and after shots. There are some logistical problems to work out and I might want to do this under a pseudonym, but I like the idea.
